Festival Timetable

The Festival is on Saturday 13th July and Sunday 14th July 2019 at

South Essex College, Luker Road, Southend on Sea, SS1 1ND from 9:30am to 4:30pm. There will also be the National Guild AGM on the Friday night (details TBC).



We will offer a prebookable packed-lunch service both days for £7 per lunch (containing sandwiches, cake, fruit, drink and crisps). PLEASE NOTE only this food and items bought in the snack cafe may be consumed on-site. Vegetarian and other dietary options will be available. There is also a 3-course Festival Dinner on Saturday evening for £29 (excluding drinks).- again various options will be available and you will be choosing in advance These meals can be booked online alongside the workshops.


Workshops and other events

We will be running a mix of all day and half day workshops, from beginner to expert: see below. We aim to provide packed lunches (£7 each), or you can go off campus for lunch (food bought elsewhere can't be consumed in the College). There is also a great Festival Dinner 7:30pm Saturday with an informal fashion show for £30. To book lunches or the Dinner please see the booking page here.

Other activities

We hope to have some suppliers at the Festival with items to buy, and the opportunity to sell some of your work, these will be confirmed later. The Challenge entries will be exhibited in the College's Gallery space all weekend as well as any general work submitted by prior agreement to the general exhibition.
